Support Hawaii fishers by taking action below today.
The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources is poised to open limited areas with enhanced rules to further manage the sustainable aquarium fishery in Hawaii. But the Department is under pressure from radical animal-rights, aquaculture, and environmental groups with their lawyers to keep these areas closed off by pressuring the Department to disregard the law by not issuing permits.
Support Hawaii fishers by taking action below today. The Department is collecting public comments for only a limited period. Your voice is valuable.

Watch the video below to hear from scientists about how Hawaii fisheries are sustainably managed through permitting, catch limits, reporting, and more. You can read the Department’s proposed rules that further enhance the sustainable Hawaii aquarium fishery. Fishing would be limited to certain areas, while the state designates other areas as marine protection areas and fish replenishment areas, where fishing is not permitted.
Despite the science, radical activists have been trying to ban the fisheries by having the Department obstruct a lawful fishing activity. That’s why the Department needs to hear from you. If you support sustainable fisheries managed by science.
